Couples counselling

For two people who keep having the same argument and want a different conversation.

Longer sessions for couples at any stage — new, married, long-haul, undefined — who want to stop circling and start hearing each other again.

This might fit if

  • The same fight keeps arriving wearing different clothes.
  • Home has gone quiet in a way that does not feel like peace.
  • Trust took a knock, and you both want to know what rebuilding would look like.
  • A big decision — moving, marriage, children — keeps ending in deadlock.

How we would work

Couples work is not a courtroom, and I am not a judge. Sessions run 75 minutes so nobody has to rush to be understood. Early on we slow the pattern down until you can both see it — who reaches, who retreats, what each of you is protecting — because the pattern, not either person, is usually the problem.

From there we practise the harder, warmer conversations in the room, where it is safe to get them wrong. You will leave most sessions with one specific thing to try before the next.

Your first session

You both come to the first session. I will ask how you met, what brings you in now, and what each of you hopes for — and I will make sure you both get equal room to answer.
